Federico The Breeze

Federico and the Breeze performs original material along with songs by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, John Mellencamp, John Hiatt, J J Cale, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Steve Winwood, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, & Tom Petty. 
I’m a tunesmith. I build songs with voice and acoustic guitar. The genre might be folk/rhythm and blues/Americana/roots with a groove. There’s more and more finger-style/fingerpicking and plucking. I like the traditional stuff and take inspiration from pre-existing melodies, forms, themes and wording. The songs are as you would expect from this genre: social justice, personal, political, humorous, topical (of the moment). I write about the normal stuff: love, loss, hope, despair, characters with stories to tell, and our society and the times we live in. My voice might be described as gravely (like gravel, not like a grave), though it tries not to sacrifice melody. I take on the persona of the characters I write. There’s some acting involved. I try to make it authentic. Sometimes it’s me talking, sometimes it’s someone else.
